The best dog you ever had kind of dog. She seems so well-behaved, so loving..she has been at the shelter since Dec. 13- she needs out now! You have to meet her in person, she is SO beautiful but really hard to get a picture of. She has piercing golden brown eyes that seem so intelligent and sad. Her coat is a really unusual brown color-like coffee with cream. He is in the medical room- seems he is not using one of his back legs. Please go and ask to meet him he is a really good boy! UPDATE: RESCUED! Thank you San Diego Pet Rescue! San Deigo Pet Rescue saved this dog and named him Tommy. He is a complete and total doll. Unfortunately, Tommy is unable to use one of his hind legs and the vet said BOTH legs have luxating patella--knee caps that pop in and out. WE ARE DESPERATE TO RAISE DONATIONS FOR HIS SURGERY. Thank you for any help you can offer to give this dog the surgery he needs to be able to walk, run and play!	pit bull Impound No. a768591 Male 1 year Available: Wed, Jan 4 Date Photo Taken: Mon, Jan 2 More Photos Available they graffitied this dog!! every now and again some poor dog shows up at the shelter with graffiti written all over--i guess just to remind us how absolutely moronic and insensitive some people can be?? this dog has dollar signs written all over his body. he was turned in as a stray. really broke my heart because the whole time the dog was coming up to everyone, wagging his tail and trying to make friends. really NICE dog who deserves so much better. he is in a kennel with other dogs and gets along really well. listed as one year, he seems younger. please, can anybody help this dog and give him the life he deserves? lab Impound No. a767786 Male 5 years Available: Tue, Dec 27 Date Photo Taken: Mon, Jan 2 More Photos Available this is an AWESOME DOG! he is in big danger, he needs out NOW! this dog is incredibly handsome. he was a bit shocked and quiet when he first arrived but now that he has adjusted to the shelter environment, he is a complete sweetheart! he is super friendly and comes to the front to greet everybody. this exceptionally nice dog would be such a wonderful companion if only he is given a chance. he get along great with his kennel mate, a very sweet but scared lab mix. the dogs at this shelter have very little time to get adopted--please save him!! SO unbelievably loving, trusting, sweet, affectionate and gentle. she is so cute with her little black smudge on her nose. she is a really nice, nice kitty who came into the shelter healthy and, like every poor cat here, caught upper respiratory which is a kitty cold. if you go to the shelter to see her, she may be lethargic--think of how you feel when you have a bad cold or flu. this is no reflection on her general health at all. she MUST get out ASAP or she will be euthanized. please help this amazingly sweet little cat. rescued. for adoption information, please email yep6cats@aol.com
ENGLISH BULLDOG MIX Impound No. A766051 Male 3 years Available: Sat, Dec 17 Date Photo Taken: Mon, Jan 2 AVAILABLE NOW!! HE IS LISTED AS A BOXER MIX BUT HE IS VERY CLOSE TO PURE ENGLISH BULLDOG. He is locked in isolation for wounds he got from other dogs in the regular kennels. The kennel attendant said he gets along with other dogs- other dogs were fighting wih this guy about food. He is all beat up now and very emaciated. Looks like the other dogs kept him away from the food for a while. HJe is very friendly and mellow. rescued! thank you ace of hearts!	lab/shepherd mix. mastiff/shepherd mix? Impound No. 767973 Female 4 years Available: Wed, Dec 27 Date Photo Taken: Sun, Jan 1 More Photos Available Best Dog in the Shelter!! i LOVE this dog! she is the most amazingly calm, gentle, affectionate girl! when i first saw her, she was hunched over, trembling with fear. she looked up and her gorgeous, piercing yellow eyes gave me the most desperate look. i called her and she slowly came to the front, looking into my eyes the whole time. i pet her and she smooshed her whole body against the side of the kennel, trying to get closer. she was definitely relieved to receive some kindness in the shelter, where kindness is so lacking. the next time i saw her, she recognized me immediately. she wagged her tail furiously, rolled over on her back, squirmed around and "smiled" at me making goofy faces. i KNOW this will be the most amazing dog you have ever had. she is very much in danger of being euthanized. i must find a foster or forever home for her ASAP! please don't let this very special girl die alone and scared at the shelter. she is SO full of love. she is just waiting for somebody to give her love to. please email yep6cats@aol.com if you are able to foster or adopt to save her life.	great dane mix Impound No. a764963 Male 7 years Available: Tue, Dec 26 Date Photo Taken: Sun, Jan 1 More Photos Available This dog is magnificent! This dog is HUGE and makes such a lasting impression. He is super nice, extra friendly and strangely puppy like for a dog who is alegedly 7 years. (i think he must be younger). He is very good natured and eager to please. He loves to have his ears and muzzle scratched and seems to have no clue that he is a very BIG boy. He is just a tad shy until he knows he can trust you but then he is all yours. This big lovable goof of a dog is in trouble. He has kennel cough, easily cured with antibiotics and time but it is a death sentence at the shelter. Please, we cannot let him die! Rescued! Thank you A Dog's Life. cocker spaniel - pure Impound No. 756388 Kennel No. isolation help!! Male 4 years Available: Wed, Dec 27 Date Photo Taken: Sun, Jan 1 this poor dog is behind locked doors where nobody will ever see him or know he exists! This little guy is so sad and worried in isolation. He has some sort of a skin condition--nothing contagious but for some reason they are keeping him behind locked doors where he has NO chance at all of being adopted. He was apparently adopted in November and then dumped back at the shelter on December 21 just in time for Christmas. He was very sweet and waggy tailed when he arrived but now he is not showing well because he is so sad. They brought him out of his cage and all he could do was look in every possible direction, desperate for an escape route. In all honesty, he did not pay much attention to me but I have seen SO many shelter dogs do this, especially when let out of isolation. I have no doubt that he will return to being sweet and responsive once he is out of the shelter environment. I know people worry about Cockers being nippy or snappy---this dog is absolutely not aggressive in any way. I pet him, tugged his ears, massaged his face and he was just fine-rather submissive even. This poor boy REALLY wants out, he is so very upset to be in the shelter!! He will most certainly be euthanized soon if he is not adopted or rescued. Rescued! Please email yep6cats@aol.com for adoption information.	flame point siamese Impound No. 746504 Kennel No. cat room Male 6 months Available: Tue, Sep 6 Date Photo Taken: Mon, Sep 5 he came in with a pretty lynx point, possibly his sister? this boy is super sweet and friendly. he has the misfortune to be stuck in a high kill shelter during kitten season so even being a gorgeous siamese does not guarantee that he will get out. he was very mellow when i visited with him, gently touching me with his paws through his cage and purring. really, this is such a nice cat. please come meet him!
