I absolutely LOVE this dog. Please email yep6cats@aol.com if you can foster this dog. This girl is just so happy to have any visitors she can hardly contain herself. She quite clearly loves people. She is sweet, happy, good natured and just as loving as can be. She is beautiful with the tall, lean body of a greyhound and pretty shephered coloring. She has a possible owner, meaning she is micro chipped and they are holding the dog while they try to contact her owner. So often, the owner does not come and then the dog's life is in danger. This girl is available 2/26. She is well worth waiting for. Please come to the shelter to meet her. Update 2/26: As predicted, her owner did not come to save her. This is definitely a reflection on the quality of the person who owned her and certainly not the dog's fault. This dog is just too good to be true. She is in danger now, please come meet her and be prepared to fall in love. Update 3/3: She has become depressed and is no longer showing well. She has very little chance unless someone on the Internet reads about her and goes to see her. Please ask to visit with her out of the kennel so you can see what a truly wonderful, loving, sweet, sweet girl she really is. Her life is very much in danger. HELP!! rescued! thank you julia!! for adoption information, please email julia@juliapennington.com |
How cute is this girl? She is adorable, and much cuter in person. I love this dog, and her equally cute and friendly brother (A628828). These two dogs are total clowns. If you talk baby talk to them they get excited and act silly. They are also exceptionally affectionate and friendly. When their tails wag (which they do often!), their entire bodies wiggle, from the butt to their head. These are happy dogs. Please consider saving them. They are such loving and deserving doggies! HER PUPS WILL ALL HAVE HOMES, What a sweet Momma this doggy is! She has two darling female puppies (A628693, A628695) around two months old. She is lovingly taking care of them; yet she still has time to come to the front of her cage and give kisses to her visitors. She has such a small litter. Can't someone rescue her? These babies are nearly weaned and then they may become available for adoption on their own. But history has a funny way of repeating itself. The puppies always get snatched up and the Momma is left behind to die. We do not want to see this happen to her. I hope a rescue group can take this family! It may be her only chance. UPDATE 3/6: As I suspected, her pups are now available for adoption. Already one was adopted and the other was being considered this afternoon. Did anyone think about saving the Momma? Why? One of the sweetest dogs ever and now she has given her own pups up and they are gone and she is left with nothing but the clanging of the bars and the barking of other dogs. She so wants to find a home. But unless someone really special comes for her, a person with as big a heart as she has, she may not get out. Please come the shelter to meet her, you will understand why we think she is so special. 3/9 RESCUED! THANK YOU JULIA!! For adoption information, please email julia@juliapennington.com AND SHE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND. |
who wants a puppy when you can have this AWESOME mom dog?? here is another pic of momma dog with one of her babies. let's hope her sweet puppy has a better owner than her mom had. one who will make a commitment to her for life. momma dog is a complete sweetheart, she was once a puppy too. why can't anybody see that she is still that same, adorable, sweet puppy--just a bit bigger? please come visit her, you will want to take her home and make her yours. rescued. thank you julia! or adoption information or to foster this dog, please email julia@juliapennington.com
this is the dearest little pup. too big to be a miniature pinscher, too small to be a purebred doberman pinscher--she is sort of a "medium pinscher". she weighs about 30 pounds and is very petite and dainty. she is so very sweet and endearing. she looks you in the eye and you can almost hear her beg for you to save her. she wags her whole body and tries to give kisses through the cage. she adores her kennel mates and is just such an incredibly good natured girl. i am in love with every dog in kennel 31. i already rescued her shar pei puppy kennel mate because she needs cherry eye surgery and would not have gotten out of the shelter otherwise. i intend to rescue her darling little kennel mate, minnie, on monday. but i cannot rescue this "medium pinscher" puppy without help. she arrived at the shelter with a slight limp. now, her front leg practically dangles from the socket. it must be painful to her and she will need immediate vet care which could be very expensive and i cannot afford to help her. she will also need a foster home to recuperate in. please help in any way that you can. this dear little pup is only 8 months and so full of life. please don't let her die alone and unloved at the shelter. rescued! for adoption information, please emailyep6cats@aol.com. thank you to everybody who helped!! |
HIS OWNER SAID HE IS "TOO OLD." Max was dumped at the pound today. After 9 years of living with his family, his people decided it was time for Max to go. So they dropped him off. Maybe they thought someone would adopt him for all the cute things he has done over the years. Sadly, in the pound no one will know about all the cute, sweet things he does. Max seems to be in good health. But he is clearly a very unhappy dog. And who can blame him? He lived for nine years in a home and then he is suddenly dumped at the loud, scary shelter through no fault of his own. He deserves so much better. He just arrived so he is still getting used to the shelter environment. Will someone adopt Max and give him some comfort in his senior years? It is so nice to have a doggie mellowed with years. Want to adopt this darling pup? Please email petfinder@aol.com This poor girl is scared at the loud shelter. She is incredibly sweet and gentle though! She gives gentle kisses through the kennel bars. She is much more beautiful than the pictures. This girl will make a wonderful companion. Please save her life! Please email petfinder@aol.com if you are interested in adopting this sweetheart. Rescued by Peachy Grasshopper & Lucky Dog Auctions. Thank you for your support. I'm not a puppy, not a tiny poodle, not a purebred either . but i'm a really good boy, there must be just ONE person who would love me. This place makes me so sad. At first I was so excited thinking I would get a new home. I would run up and say hello to everyone. I would get a pat on the head, which I REALLY liked, and I thought maybe they would be my new person. But I have been here a long time now and nobody seems to notice me. I know I look ordinary on the outside, but nobody knows how much love and devotion I am bursting with on the inside. I don't really bother too much with getting up anymore; a dog can only take so much rejection. I used to cuddle with my very good friend keen, a very handsome Rottie who shared my cage. We would lie next to each other and dream of a day when we would be picked to go home. But they took keen away. I miss him SO much, he was my best friend. He was almost put to sleep but a rescuer arranged for him to have a few more days in isolation so maybe he can get better. I worry about him, he must be so sad too. I don't think we are going to make into a home. I think we are going to get "a trip to the needle" as the dogs that have been here a while call it. I hope I am brave. I am so scared but I don't want to let them know it. I hope the last person who touches me is kind and maybe tells me I’m a good dog. I really want someone to love so I can love him or her back. Rescued! For adoption information, please email thumpingtails@aol.com For adoption info regarding Keen, the awesome Rottie, please email tuki@mindspring.com rescued! thank you jill!!! thank you to rande and karma rescue for saving keen, his rottie friend! a happy ending for BOTH dogs. :)
another very nice kitty dumped by her owner because they were moving. she was dumped with her friend, impound 627349, the very cute grey tabby with white. this calico is very gentle, mellow and loving. she is a bit shy at first but will approach you, give you a sad look and start to rub her sweet face against your hand and purr softly. this is another one who the shelter decided is "possibly pregnant". i would bet money that she is not. as is always the case, the only way to save her life is to adopt NOW. she will be sent to the spay clinic and whether or not she is really pregnant will not matter, she will be safe and alive. the alternative is to let her stay at the shelter to be euthanized. she is a very dear girl, please come to meet her and then give her the loving home she so deserves. now that she is rescued, you would not believe what a LOVE this girl is. she just adores people and will sit on your lap, rubbing and purring forever. wil post more info as i get to know her better but i can guarantee, she's a good one! rescued! for adoption information please email yep6cats@aol.com |
AVAILABLE NOW! URGENT!! This dog has been here before. She was impounded on February 7 as a stray. When no one redeemed her, she became available for adoption. She was adopted and quickly returned. The person who adopted her said she was aggressive with her male dog and her roommate's dog. However, I recall her kennel card noting she was in estrus. Perhaps she was sensitive and was unfriendly because of her condition. She has always been friendly with people. It's possible she may need to be an only dog. Still, she should not lose her life because she needs to be the only dog. She is now under medication. This dog needs to get out ASAP. Please save this girl. She is such a beauty. And too sweet to die. RESCUED!
This guy is beautiful! He is fluffy due to his nice thick coat. He is also friendly and was very well mannered with me. He definently likes people! He can't get enough attention and love! He is one big hunk of love! Please save this boy's life! He has been at the shelter for WAY TOO LONG! He is out of time! Rescued! Thank you Perfect Paws. For adoption information, please email Dee at adoptacat@mail.com |
Poor Princess was dumped because of the "landlord". It isn't her fault at all. She recently had a litter of puppies too, but they were not dumped off with her. This poor girl has been through SO MUCH and is still as loving and trusting as ever! Just look at those eyes and you can tell how much she loves people! She was eager to receive any attention anyone would give her. She is a wonderful and extremely friendly girl! It amazes me that each time I have visited with her, her spirits have been high. Many dogs become depressed, but not Princess. She is hopefull that someone will come for her and love her. Unfortunatly, she is WAY OUT OF TIME at the shelter. She has overstayed her welcome. Princess will be euthanized soon if not adopted. Please save her life and give her the loving and stable home she deserves! RESCUED! Thank you Mary!
