HELP! This gorgeous boy and his brother have just a day or two to live. They came into a high volume Los Angeles city shelter with their orange tabby sisters who, thankfully, got adopted. Sadly, these two are still at the shelter. Today I got the call that every rescuer dreads. The shelter medical staff called to tell me time was up for these two kittens. I asked for an extra day and they are holding them but ISO is full and there is no room to keep them.(they have minor kitty colds--they are alert and active) These are exceptionally NICE cats. Very relaxed, trusting and eager to be held and cuddled. They both have a soft, calming purr and they purr constantly. They will rub their face against your face and kiss you on the nose. They are often cuddling and grooming each other in their cage. They are ALL LOVE, they don't know how to be any other way. Not a hiss or a hint of fear or aggression, they just want to love. I am sure if given a choice, they would want to live. One is a polydactyl (extra toes) and his paws are so big that it looks as if he is wearing baseball mitts!! One has striking amber eyes, the other has green. Both are sleek and beautiful. They are just babies who have never had a loving, happy home. Must they really die at the tender age of just 4 months? I know that somebody would adore these two if given the chance to make it into a home. Can anybody save them?? Hurry, they have no time! Adopted together!! |
This is the BEST CAT IN THE SHELTER! This cat is simply unbelievable. SO expressive and communicative. She is practically a person! I am too tired to write much but suffice it to say, this cat is one of the best ever. You have to look at the attached pics and you will see what I mean. Meet her and there is no way you would leave her behind. This truly unique and charming gal has been at the shelter for over a month! Her time is almost up. She is not a tiny kitten, a Persian or a Scottish Fold but she is the kind of cat who will make a huge impact on your heart and on your life. Please don't let her die at the shelter 11/4 Adopted! Thank you Maria!!
this strikingly gorgeous dog is gentle, calm, friendly and affectionte. a real doll who is very much in danger of losing her life. she is much prettier "in person" than she is in this pic. please go see her. hurry, do not wait, she is on borrowed time. Adopted! Thank you Mark and Donna! |
this little guy is SO sweet but has no chance of being adopted he is in isolation where nobody will see him. he is blind but seems to see shadows and light. the little guy was so happy and wiggly when i stopped by to visit him. he took treats gently from my hand and seemed so grateful to get some love and attention. please do not let this sweetheart die alone and scared at the shelter. he is on the smaller side for a cocker. Adopted!
poor mom kitty is so sad this beauty was dumped at the shelter with her five 5 months kittens. she is so lonely and sad looking at her kittens in the cages next to her but she cannot be with them. she is very loving, gentle and sweet. please come adopt her and maybe one of her kittens with her? the shelter has over 200 cats and kittens, please hurry to save a life! |
Poor little girl is so scared! This very sweet little dog had the misfortune to arrive at the very high volume South LA shelter. She is petrified and would barely look at me. She let me pet her and looked at me with big brown eyes full of sadness. She came in as a stray and is not available until 4/7. I am afraid she will end up in a crappy South LA neighborhood home-chained in the backyard, alone and neglected. She is a sweet girl and I am sure will blossom in a loving home. Please save her! Adopted!
This dog is red listed and can be euthanized any time. Please help her! Cookie is a darling, dainty 30 pound lab mix. She is a bit timid at first but so very sweet when she comes up to visit. She is calm and seems like such a well behaved girl. She is wonderful with her kennel mates who she cuddles and plays with. Please don't let this adorable girl lose her life! Please emailyep6cats@aol.com if you are able to foster or adopt Cookie to save her life! |
This dog is so striking looking! He is so unusual looking--really very pretty. He is about 50 to 55 pounds, has piercing hazel eyes and fur that is a little bit wiry like a terrier. He is shy at first but very, very sweet when you go to pet him. You can tell he is sad and confused as to how he ended up in such a scary place. He gets along GREAT with his kennel mates. This boy has been at the shelter way too long, please hurry to save him! adopted!
Adopted! This dog is just a delightful, happy, playful super sweet little girl. I really like her a lot. She is a little timid but really wants to be able to trust and love. She is so sweet with her kennel mate, they give each other kisses and romp around together. Sadly, her kennel mate is red listed and does not have much time left. Kennel mate is a sweet, very mellow, rather shy shar pei/pit bull mix. Both of these girls are really NICE dogs who would made loyal, loving companions. Please go see them in kennel #13. |
She is RED LISTED and can be KILLED at any moment! This is a very dear dog! I love little Edna. She is so shy and unassuming. She comes slowly to the front of the cage, looking at you and wondering if you can help her out. She is SO sad to be at the shelter. She LOVES to be pet. I scratched her nose through the gate and she just melted. She closed her eyes to savor the petting and maybe, for even a minute, with her eyes closed she could forget that she is in a scary place that will soon take her life. She is on the smaller side, maybe 30 pounds? She cuddles and kisses her kennel mate. There is something about Edna that really gets to me. She breaks my heart. She is such a GOOD dog-quiet, lovable and well behaved. Somebody would adore her, if she is only given the change. ADOPTED!! If you adopted Edna, please email to let me know. |
