adopted! thank you kathy! this darling girl would not hold still for a picture which is a shame because she is so darn CUTE! she is in isolation recuperating from a kitty cold which makes her chances of getting adopted not too likely because she is behind a closed door. she is super cute, with a darling gray smudge down her nose. she is tiny, dainty and a very "girly" kind of kitty. she loves, loves, loves to be pet and held and meows when you walk away from her cage. she has been here a very long time and is very urgent. please save her precious YOUNG life! Update: i saw her yesterday and she has gotten quite depressed. she has been at the shelter for too long and has stopped showing well. PLEASE ask to visit with her, open the cage and give her time to warm up. she was SO friendly when she arrived and now she is just sad. this is a young kitten, just 9 months!! she needs out ASAP! |
Absolute perfection-GORGEOUS and so, so sweet! WHAT is this cat still doing here? I guess people are scared off because she is supposedly 9 years old. She looks great-beautiful, healthy and well cared for. Even if she is really 9, she has so many more years to live, if given the chance. She is an absolute KNOCK OUT! Strikingly beautiful--a super model kitty! She is beyond friendly and sweet. Trots right up to say hello, purrs, rubs, pokes her paws out and is just the most charming cat you could ever hope to meet. This cat HAS to make it out. She is truly special. ADOPTED!!
A charming goofball! This kitty is a hoot! Wake her up if she is sleeping when you get there--you gotta meet her! She is stunning to look at with luxurious long black fur and striking bold amber eyes. When you talk sweet to her, she gets SO goofy. She rolls around on her back, makes funny faces, lets out raspy meeeoooowwws and is just a hoot. Plus she is super loving and sweet. Come and get her, she will fill your home with love and laughter!! UPDATE: i am worried about this cat. she is depressed and no longer showing well. she sleeps and everyone walks past her and she does not get noticed. PLEASE go visit this special girl. ask somebody to open her cage so you can see how absolutely sweet and full of personality she is. she is a really fun, amusing and lovable gal but nobody is getting to see her personality now that she has become depressed. she has been here too long and needs out NOW! adopted! thank you christy! |
So sweet, so scared at the shelter. Please help her! From another rescuer: I met Canela at the mobile adoptions. She was very very sweet when approached but stayed a bit reserved all day. She just seemed to be observing everything around her. The mobile employees described her as sweet, cool and easy going. It breaks my heart b/c we all know that if her owner were to walk in little Canela would be jumping with excitement. However there is nothing to be excited about now. She obviously knows the danger she is in. Chela who volunteers at SLA just met her in person. Please read what Chela writes. Canela did not want to go back in once she was outside and safe for a moment. Please network to try and make sure Canela does not die inside that building. From Chela: Canela [Impound #A629104] is terrified at the shelter. Very gentle and scared. We got her out of her cage [with all the noise and barking]. Once she was outside with the grass and the clear skies she began to relax and enjoy our petting. But before long we had to drag her back to her cage and leave her to her fear. She seems so sweet, please save her life! Update Note: 5/21 Saved by Carl Schulz of Indio
adopted, of course! this little guy is in isolation.nothing serious-on meds for a kitty cold. he is bouncing off the walls and climbing the front of his cage--he will be just fine. but he is behind a closed door so he will go unnoticed--he needs somebody from the internet to ask about him and adopt him to save his life. he is super duper cute. very round kitty-round head, round tummy, just a fluffy little butterball. super sweet and highly amusiing. please come save his little life! please email email yep6cats@aol.com if you can foster or adopt this kitty or any shelter cat to save a life! |
this darling senior boy has almost NO chance of making it out alive this is such a nice, loving kitty. i can't imagine he person capable of dumping him here. he is making the best of it and trying to be brave. he is hesitant for just a minute but then just cannot resist coming to get some attention. he closes his eys and purrs when you pet him and it makes me sad that for a minute, he probably imagines he is somewhere else until he opens his eyes again. somebody would really love this cat. i am hoping that some kind person will adopt him and treasure him the way the people who dumped him should have. he deserves SO much better. btw-he happens to be really pretty, much prettier than my pic. adopted! thank you kathy!
This guy looks so sweet and sad. He has beautiful expressive eyes. He was already put away in a cage so we were not able to visit with him much to get to know him. He did very gently and sweetly kiss the hand of one of the volunteers. Please go visit him, he seems like such a good boy! |
she came in smiling and wagging her tail. She didn't see it coming... i don't know which is more sad, the dogs who are dragged in with their tail tucked between their legs or the dogs who walk in happy and wagging their tails. this girl trotted in smiling, wagging her tail and looking lovingly at the people who were about to dump her. you could almost hear her saying "oh boy, where are we going?". she was just so trusting, she didn't see it coming. the look on this dog's face when she realized she was being abandoned was just too much. her whole posture changed. she cowered, her brow was furrowed and her eyes were so, so sad and worried. she was so scared to go into the small cage in the receiving area. she turned around in the tiny cage and looked at the people who dumped her but they could not have been less interested. they said she was a stray. i don't believe them. she is being very brave out in the kennels. she looks a little worried but she trots up to every single person who passes and looks at them with such hope. she is in such a hopeless place, probably soon to be euthanized and the dog still has faith that people are good and will help her. the dog is a DOLL. a complete and total waggy tailed, kissing, gentle, loving DOLL. is there any hope for her at all? Please email yep6cats@aol.comif you are able to foster, adopt or donate to help this sweet dog!
another sweet, scared cat this poor little girl is having such a tough time at the shelter. it is so noisy and there is no human contact. she is in a small cold metal cage listening to hundreds of dogs bark and kids scream. it is terrifying for so many cats. she hides under the newspaper and nobody will get to see how cute she is. she has adorable black markings on white. when i opened the cage, she was scared at first but then so very, very relieved to have somebody be kind and comfort her. she purred and rubbed, then starting meowing as if trying to communicate with me. this nice cat has NO CHANCE of getting out alive because nobody is going to see her under a newspaper. hopefully, some kind person will see her on the internet and go to meet her. spend a bit of time letting her warm up to you and you will see she is really sweet. she really needs YOUR help so that she doesn't lose her life. adopted! |
he is gorgeous! this gorgeous boy is so outgoing and friendly. he strolls right up to the front of the cage to visit with everyone who comes by. he will make be a wonderful companion, if given the change. he is a definite "people cat" who will want to always be hanging out where the action is. please come meet him, you will be smitten! 10/11 no longer at shelter, i need to find out his outcome.
this very sweet cat was dumped because "she sheds"! this kitty is so sweet. she is very scared at the shelter and sits at the back of her cage, her round eyes wide with fear. but if you open the cage and pet her, she is sensitive, gentle and sweet. she rubbed her face against my hand and purred softly, obviously comforted to receive some love and kindness. she is overweight but i think that just makes her cuddly and adorable. I REALLY LIKE this girl and am very worried about her. She will go unnoticed because she is not showing well. Please go to the shelter and ask a shelter worker to open her cage so you can visit with her. as for the shedding? her people just gave a lame excuse because she is no longer a kitten and they no longer wanted her. poor kitty. Adopted! |
SHE HAS BEEN HERE TOO LONG, TWELVE DAYS!! SHE NEEDS OUT ASAP! This is a GREAT little dog. She trots right up to the front to say hello and stands patiently, waiting for you to approach. She is a calm dog-doesn't leap about. She just sweetly stares at you and wags her tail as you pet her. She is on the smaller side, maybe 30 pounds? She gets along great with her kennel mates. This girl was dumped because her people moved and didn't care enough to find a place where she could live too. Instead, they dumped her at a high kill shelter just before Christmas. She seems so cute and adoptable, can anybody help her? adopted! |
