this big boy just arrived at the shelter they day i took his pic. he was so sad and despondent. he really could not figure out what he did to deserve being in a small cage in a scary place. he was very calm and receptive when i went to pet him. unfortunately, he has a kitty old so he was immediately put in isolation where he has very little chance of being adopted. he is really cute and such a nice boy. please go visit him. he is much cuter than this pic!

hurry, the shelter is very full. he needs out ASAP!

She and her pretty sister, 885370, need out ASAP

This girl would not hold still for a picture. Hard to imagine that she was marked aggressive when she first arrived because she was so friendly, silly and plauful. She kept rolling around, rubbing against the front of her cage, flopping over on her back and generall trying to do everything in her power to get me to pet her. I love both of these girls, so pretty, so young, playful and loving. Please hurry to save them, the cats do not get to stay very long since it is kitten season.

"escaped" whatever, shelter could not find her. she had a rescue to take her. they saved her sister but this poor cat could not be found.

Toby

Poor Toby breaks my heart. Every time I pass her cage, she gives me a look of sheer desperation. I can practically hear her begging me to get her out of this scary place. She is a big, beautiful girl with striking, intelligent eyes. She cuddles wth her kennel mates to try to find comfort. Whenever the dogs start to fight and the roar gets so loud, she trembles in fear. This is a kind, gentle, sweet dog who deserves a loving home. Most likely her fate will be to die alone and scared at the shelter. Please don't let that happen. Please come visit her!

This poor boy is scared and trembling in his cage.

This big boy is very sensitive. Every time he would hear the clang of a cage or dogs fighting, he would tremble and shake with fear. He is very sweet, quiet and lovable. I pet his nose and he was so comforted to receive some love. He looked at me with eyes that pleaded with me to "make it all better".

As you can see from his picture, he is a really beautiful and unusual looking dog.

He is great with his kennel mate who is also a young, scared pit mix.

Rest in peace, sweet boy.

This beautiful boy seems so sad at the shelter. He stares at you with eyes that beg you to take him home. It made me feel awful that I could not save him.

He is well behaved, doesn't bark, doesn't jump around. He just sits quietly hoping that somebody will want him. Sadly, big black dogs, no matter how gorgeous, rarely are chosen to go home. He would make a wonderful companion--so well mannered and loving. Please don't let him die! He has already been at the shelter for two weeks, it is not looking good and he needs out ASAP!

He gets along well with his kennel mates.

euthanized.

"BELLA"
RED LISTED-her time is up!

Sweet, shy Bella is a very dear girl. She has obviously not been treated well-she is tentative when approaching people. She was definitely used for breeding and then dumped at the shelter. Her poor puppies are probably living the same horrible life that she has had. Bella came to the front to visit with me and stared deeply into my eyes. She lifted a paw, trying to tap me through the gate. She broke my heart. This dear little dog has done nothing to deserve the crummy life she has had. She definitely does not deserve a lonely, scary shelter death. She would be an absolutely loyal, loving sweetheart of a companion if only she is given a chance. Please save her. DO NOT WAIT,she can be put down at any moment!

this is too sad, euthanied 3/28/07.

"JOE"
Poor Joe, he was in isolation for a month! This SWEET Cat Needs OUT!

You HAVE to come meet Joe. He is SO endearing and sweet. He is shy at first but when you open his cage, he rubs his head against you and looks at you with such love and affection. He exudes overwhelming sadness from the lonliness of being caged for such a long time. He was so affectionate when I pet him in his cage but when I tried to get him to come out, he was afraid and retreated to the safety of his cage. Joe came into the shelter with multiple wounds on his backside. There are no wounds on his head and face so it appears as if he was running from a cat (or other animal?)who attacked him. His hair has been clipped so they could treat his wounds and he looks kind of funny being half bald. He has an adorable round face, pretty bright green eyes and a very kissable pink nose. Please go to the shelter to visit with Joe, he is a good little boy who so desperately needs and deserves to be in a loving home.

Very sweet, lovable, endearing guy who REALLY just wants to be loved. Poor guy seems truly confused about how he ended up in such a predicament. This is super nice dog who snuggles with his kennel mates.

This lovable boy was dropped at the shelter when his owner lost her home. Now this kitty may lose his life!!

Yet another amazingly lovable black kitty. The shelter lists him as 10 years which he may be but he seems younger. He seems as if was a well cared for, well loved, indoors only kitty who is used to a quiet home. He was hanging out at the back of his cage, trying to be brave. I opened his cage to pet him and he immediately got SO excited!! He stood up and started meowing, as if trying to tell me what a terrible predicament he is in. It rather got to me, the way this kitty seemed to really be trying to communicate with me. He is very dear, very gentle, mellow and loving. He rubbed, purred and made "blinky eyes" at me. I really, really hated to close his cage door and see him go back to the corner of his cage, again just squatting and watching. I feel so bad I let him down. PLEASE can anyone save this very dear boy?
