lab/shepherd mix Impound No. a693993 Male 3 years Available: Mon, Dec 26 Date Photo Taken: Mon, Jan 3 the shelter has him listed as an american staffordshire terrier, but i don't see it in him. whatever breed he is, he sure is a sweetheart! very attentive, eager to interact dog. he is alert and always wants to know what is going on. he seems very well adjusted, friendly, outgoing and just an all around wonderful dog. he gets along with his kennel mates too. he is medium sized-maybe 50 pounds. he would be a great family dog! euthanized. another nice dog who wasn't fortunate to be born a small dog or a purebred. he shouldn't have had to die.	doberman/shepherd mix Impound No. 695241 Kennel No. 39 Male 4 years Available: Mon, Jan 3 Date Photo Taken: Mon, Jan 3 this is the BEST dog!! i love this boy. he is super cute with floppy ears and a very expressive face. unfortunately, he blends in with all the other large, brown dogs and he will probably not get noticed. he got so happy to have a visitor--he wagged his tail furiously and gave me kisses through the gate. he seems younger than 4 years-something very puppyish about him. it is hard to put into words why this boy moved me so much. i can just tell he is a good dog. please come see him asap, dogs at this shelter do not get to stay for very long. euthanized.

cocker spaniel pure Impound No. a678428 Male 6 years Available: Thu, Oct 7 Date Photo Taken: Wed, Oct 6 More Photos Available urgent! this sweet cocker has just days to live. he has an injured leg,need donations! this little cocker is so loving. he is in serious trouble because he is walking with his hind leg up. the shelter does not have the resources to treat him and will not leave him suffering so he has just days to live. he is listed as ten years but it seems unlikely he is that age. his eyes are totally clear and he does not act like a senior dog. i am guessing he is 6 but he could easily be younger. this dog is beyond urgent. if you would like to adopt him and take care of his vetting, please call the shelter at 310 485-0227 and give them his impound number. let them know you will be coming to adopt and make sure they note your name in the computer as an "interested party". then drive to the shelter ASAP. i would like to rescue this guy but cannot afford the $1000 to $1500 that his leg may cost. if you would like to make a donation towards his vet bill, please email yep6cats@aol.com. if enough money cannot be raised to save him, your donation will be returned or, if you prefer, used to save another dog in his honor. euthanized. Female 3 months Available: Wed, Sep 15 Date Photo Taken: Wed, Sep 15 urgent!!! she needs out asap, nobody even knows she exists, please save her! this is a sweet little kitten with no chance at all because she is in isolation behind locked doors. she may have a kitty cold but she doesn't even seem sick to me, she just needs a bath! she will clean up nicely and be such a pretty kitten. she rubs and purrs, how sad if her little life ended at just 3 months. she must be rescued ASAP-cats in isolation are given NO time. euthanized. just three short months of life, and not a great life at that. she was so sweet and full of love and this is how our society chooses to deal with kittens like her. it is shameful.	dsh black/white tuxedo Impound No. a673172 Kennel No. cat room Male 5 years Available: Sat, Sep 4 Date Photo Taken: Sat, Sep 11 it breaks my heart to see such a big cat so afraid this kitty is extra large and so very terrified. nobody will ever notice him, he sits at the back of his cage looking so scared. he is a very nice boy who somebody has mistreated. when i went to pet his head, he ducked and flinched. i have no doubt that somebody used to hit him. but he has remained a very nice cat. i pet the side of his face and he leaned into it, cautious at first but then enthusiastically rubbing and purring once he knew that i would not hurt him. this sweet cat deserves a loving home. it is not his fault that the people who adopted him as a tiny kitten dumped him here to die. how can a shy but lovable big adult cat compete with the outgoing, tiny kittens? please open your heart and give him the loving home he so deserves. euthanized. poor, scared boy.
