PANTHER ON THE OUTSIDE, SCARED KITTEN ON THE INSIDE He has the misfortune of being a BIG BLACK CAT, exactly what nobody wants. He is gorgeous but nobody will ever know. He stays slouched and scared at the back of his cage. People walk past him and don't even see him. Why do I have to fall in love with the ones who have almost no chance? I adore this boy, truly, he just gets straight to my heart. I opened his cage, reached towards him and he moved away, scared. I talked sweet to him, rubbed the side of his face and then he completely melted. He trusted me from the minute I pet him. He rolled around in his cage purring and letting out little tiny meows--like a baby kitten. He walked up to the front of the cage and walked right onto my lap!! He rubbed his face against my face and met me half way when I went to kiss his nose. Somebody would LOVE this cat to pieces if only they would give him a chance. He is big, sleek and really quite beautiful. He seems fine with the other cats, he walked around the room and went visiting the cats in the other cages. If you go to see him, he will be a big lump who will shy away from your hand. Please open his cage and pet him, I promise he will transform into the BEST CAT!! I don't think he stands a chance though... Please email yep6cats@aol.com if you can foster, adopt or help to save this cat's life! |
this is a GREAT dog! so eager to love and please this tall, lean, graceful, beautiful girl has been at the shelter WAY too long and i am worried about her. she is so good natured and even after being at the shelter for over a month, greets each new person with hopeful eyes. this poor girl seems to believe that the very next person will see what a good dog she is and take her home. perhaps YOU will be the person to see what a DOLL she is? please hurry, she has been her too long and has very little time left. she is a beauty as well as a sweetheart. euthanized. somebody came to adopt her but the vet euthanized her early--she should have been alive when the adopter came to get her. truly tragic for this loving, gentle dog. may she be in a better place now.
This is a GREAT little kitty! I just adore her. I am sure that if she had ever been in the cat room she would have had a good chance at being adopted. For some strange reason, it seems that she has spent her whole time at the shelter behind locked doors where nobody could see her or know that she needed a home. She is utterly charming and I have no doubt that she would have charmed somebody into taking her home, if only given the chance. She pokes her little paws out, she rubs and purrs and is just the NICEST cat you could ever want. Poor, poor kitty. Most likely she will be euthanized tomorrow morning unless somebody can foster, adopt or rescue ASAP!! Please don't let her die. 8/8 euthanized. completely heartbroken |
this kitty is just darling. very petite and dainty, playful, friendly and SWEET. she was dumped with her friends (parents?), two tabbies who look very much like her, impound 794000 and 794002. all three of these cats have beautiful tabby markings and really friendly, ougoing personalities. please come meet them, maybe even adopt one or two? i am heartbroken, they euthanized her.
euthanized. this gorgeous girl is the third tabby in the family who was dumped with 794001 and 794002. she is a sweetheart. very sensitive, gentle and loving. all three of these tabbies are really nice cats. please come meet them! |
he is SO scared! this big cat is so very frightened by the loud, scary sounds at the shelter. there is nothing more sad than seeing a big, majestic look cat trembling in his cage. he stays at the back of the cage and has NO chance of getting a home since people like their cats to "perform". Please ask a shelter worker to open his cage so you can visit with him. Approach him slowly, pet him and talk sweet and he will close his eyes and start to purr. I think he is a very sensitive boy who will be a wonderful companion, if given the chance. This nice big boy really needs an angel to come and save his life! euthanized.
euthanized after being available for adoption for ONE day. they claimed medical suffering from kennel cough but i saw this dog, she was leaping around in her kennel. there was NO reason for her to die. poor dog. could she be any cuter? she has such a sweet, sincere, worried look on her face! she is amazingly outgoing and happy and just a tad goofy. she comes loping up to the front of the gate, tail wagging and staring at you with those serious big brown eyes. she gets SO happy when you pet her that she can hardly contain herself. the shelter staff even wrote "very friendly!" on her kennel card so you know she has to be very special. this dog is so sweet and considerate of her kennel mate, impound 767476, a darling shepherd mix who is equally wonderful. they smoosh their faces together when you try to pet them and they end up kissing each other. please come meet this dog and her kennel mate, you will be totally smitten. hurry, dogs at this shelter do not get to stay long. Please email yep6cats@aol.com if you are able to adopt or foster her to save her life. |
LOVE this kitty! what a sweet, sweet cat! he definitely is a "people cat'--he meows softly when you come into the room, follows you with his eyes and meows a bit more, trying to lure you over. he closes his eyes when you pet him and makes a soft soothing purr. he is an amazingly cat and would be the best companion if only given the chance. please hurry to save his life! euthanized. i am beyond heartbroken. this was the best cat. no reason he had to die when there is so much space in cat isolation and in the cat room. truly tragic.
she is such a pretty girl! very friendly, waggy tailed and affectionate. she gets along with her kennel mate, a very sweet rottie who is equally wonderful. they both have very little chance of making it out of the shelter, large dogs have such a hard time finding a home. she is a really good girl, i hope somebody saves her. please hurry, dogs at this shelter have very little time! euthanized. |
6/7 she is scheduled to be euthanized tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. please call the shelter at 213 485-0117 if you are able to adopt this cat, then go tomorrow and save her precious life!! this pretty girl is really freaked out to find herself in a cage listening to dogs bark and howl. she is trying to be brave but she hangs at the back of the cage and has the saddest look on her face. when i opened the cage to pet her she was so relieved to feel a bit of kindness and love. she purred and stared at me with eyes that begged me to get her out of this scary place. oh, how i wish i could save her--she is such a dear girl. the shelter is crowded and there is no room to keep cats for very long. also, healthy cats like this girl come into the shelter and end up catching upper respiratory, a kitty cold, which is a death sentence at the shelter. she is healthy now but if she catches upper respiratory, her life will most certainly be in immediate danger. upper respiratory can be cured with antibiotics and time, it is NOT a reason to euthanize a cat! please hurry to save her precious life! euthanized. rest in peace, sweet girl.
he is scheduled to be euthanized tomorrow morning, 6/2! please save him this kitty is very sweet but very scared at the shelter. he came in healthy but as is always the case, he caught upper respiratory at the shelter and will now lose his life for having a "kitty cold" that is totally curable with antibiotics and time. poor sweet boy deserves better. if you want to save him, please GO to the shelter today, he will not be there tomorrow. euthanized. poor, scared little kitty. hopefully he is in a better place now. |
this gorgeous tabby girl was SO very sad and freaked out when she first arrived. she is doing a bit better now but still seems so sad. she is very sweet whe you pet her. please ask a shelter worker to open her cage so you can see visit with her. she is not showing well because she is depressed. she is a really nice girl and needs out NOW. please give her the happy ending she so deserves. euthanized. |
